| What is Forti -
Sweet? |
|
Forti-sweet is a truly unique
nutrient delivery system for horses because it suspends
essential nutrients in an easy to feed molasses - based tub. The
digestive system of the horses is anatomically designed to
digest forage such as hay and pasture. With this in mind,
any successful horse feeding program should feature forage as
the foundation. Additional grains, protein and supplements
need only be used to supply essential nutrients not contained
in hay and pasture. |

FEEDING
INSTRUCTIONS |
|
Forti-Sweet
has been formulated to be fed free-choice to horses of all ages.
For horses kept in stalls, provide one Forti-Sweet (35 lb) pale
per horse. Horses kept in groups should be provided with a minimum
of one large (200 lb) Forti-Sweet tub per 5-10 horses. Typically,
a horse will consume an average of 0.5 lb to 3.0 lb per horse
per day, depending on forage quality and availability, amount
of supplemental grain feeding, horse type, age and amount of
exercise. If a horse consumes more than 3 lb per day, the amount
of forage and/or grain in the diet should be increased, thereby
causing a reduction in the Forti-Sweet intake.
In addition to Forti-Sweet Horse Supplement, all horses should
receive a minimum of 1% of body weight of good quality forage
daily along with free-choice salt and fresh, clean water. |
